Beloved Grandfather,
Cordial thanks for your kind letter.
I came to aunt Marysia [Maria] for a few days for the Holidays.
She seems to live quite comfortably, although she has a lot of work at home.
There was also a beautiful Christmas tree.
The children got many beautiful gifts from St. Nicholas. The most beautiful thing for me was that I received a letter from home.
They write that Leonek[younger brother]has been located. He is now in Germany, in the English sector.
What he is doing there I do not know exactly. However, I expect a letter from him soon.
After the Holiday vacation I continue going to school. I am nowhere near being a famous painter.
Mainly I study construction drafting, because with painting it is difficult to make enough money for a piece of bread.
I end my short letter, with a big kiss,
Felek |
